Hi Deano,

just wanted to ask - should I d/l this new version? The reason I ask is that when I worked with Aaron on reducing my VAS consumption at YPAD, some objects within certain files were removed and/or reduced in order to finally achieve an acceptable VAS level for me.

If I d/l the new version, will that compromise what was achieved?

PS: Aaron, by all means chime in here if you can elaborate......much appreciated!

Rgds,

Steve

Hello Steve,

No need for you to download this version; I have already sent you the updates (the major one being the updated taxiway lights) when we were working on a solution to reduce your VAS.

If your planning to use P3D then you'll need to download this installer.

Hope that helps

Aaron

Does the earlier version have to be uninstalled before installing this new version?

Good question. I don't think it is essential, but usually its better to get rid of the older version first (reduce the potential for problems), then install v1.2 fresh. It's a full installer so there is no need for an earlier version to be on the hard drive.

Dean

I am a little confused with the version I have. When I purchased and downloaded this I had very very low frame rates. Then another version was released " V2.0" to combat this.  Unfortunately although my frame rates have improved slightly I still get around the 8 Frames.

This forum now advises about a version 1.2.

Could someone fill me in please?

Thanks

Skids

V1.2 was the predecessor to v2.0 and was superseded by it - see http://pcaviatorforu...2014/#entry4108

Posts 1-6 in the Thread in which were are now posting preceded the link in the previous paragraph and have been overtaken by what is in it.

In fact, I checked my computer this morning as a result of your post and realised that I am still using v1.1. I downloaded v1.2 but never got around to installing it and I had completely forgotten about v2.0.

Yep post above was made in September 2014. Version 2,0 is the latest. Regarding frame rates, this could be caused by numerous things (even speed of hardware) but get in contact with the developer as they may be able to offer some advice here.
