Hi Flight Simmers,

Further to my postings under the topic "New Zealand Pro Scenery for X-Plane 10" relating to the comments I have made about HD Mesh scenery V3 for X-plane  the developer has announced that a UHD Mesh Scenery v1 is now available.  Area covered at this stage is smaller.  The difference between both packages is that the UHD version has 30m DEM coverage compared to 90m DEM coverage for the HD version.

There is a word of warning before you download and attempt to update/upgrade.  The new package is resource hungry on your hardware.  You should have at least 16 Gb Ram and your GPU should be at the top end.

Again it is all Freeware/Donationware.

Should you want to find out more about the new release have a look at the following links:-

If you want to have a look at a comparison betwen the two packages, even if you are not an X-Plane 10 flight simmer, have a look at the following screenshots.  There are several "two shots" for each scene and then at the bottom there are several UHD screenshots showing the snow covered mountains. I cannot see the difference.
