Today, I received the October Just Flight Newsletter which, in part, contains the October list of updates for products sold by JF. As I have mentioned in previous posts, JF provides an excellent service in notifying updates and how to access them and I find this service (along with that of another retailer who sends me emails when there is an update or SP for a product I have bought from it) of great assistance to me in trying to keep up-to-date.
Part of the October list reads:
“Warsaw City XP - v1.2 Update (28 Oct)
New York Airports XP - v1.2 Update (27 Oct)
Tornado GR1 - Service Pack 3 (20 Oct)
Flysimware Mitsubishi MU-2B-60 - v1.8 Update (19 Oct)
Aerosoft English Electric Lightning F.3 - v2.02 Update (12 Oct)
DC-8 Jetliner Series 10 to 40 - Interim Service Pack 3 (12 Oct)
DC-8 Jetliner Series 10 to 40 Livery Pack - Service Pack (12 Oct)
Electra Model 10A - Service Pack (12 Oct)
Aerosoft English Electric Lightning F.6 - v2.02 Update (12 Oct)
FSX Fiber Accelerator - Update (12 Oct)
Carenado EMB505 Phenom 300 Navigraph Expansion Pack - Update (6 Oct)
Sim Physics X (combined FSX & P3D edition) - Update (29 Sept)
Sim Physics P3D - Update (29 Sept)â€
I have excluded one train product which PCA Aust does not appear to stock. There may be also one or two plane products in the list not stocked by PCA Aust.
A purchase from JF before the stated date needs to to be updated. On that basis, I am assuming that the JF upload was updated as of that date and the version available for download at JF is the new one from that date.
However, those dates may not be reflective of the situation at PCA Aust or elsewhere.
Dean should be able to tell us what are the relevant dates for the updated products on the PCA Aust server so that where there has to be a complete new re-install, rather than merely a patch, existing or new customers know it is the new/updated version which can be downloaded.
