The third largest Spanish city did not have a good quality airport in Flight Simulation and that was something that just had to be set right. So we are happy to add Valencia X to the available destinations for your flights. Valencia airport is busy with a single runway and only one terminal. It has connections to most European airports and is used by many major carriers.

The scenery is made with all the modern tools and features the complete airport in high detail. A highlight is the large amount of specially created ground vehicles and the many human figures. The large glass façade of the main terminal allows the spectacular interior to be seen. As the city is close by and features some very large (and very interesting) buildings those are included as well making the approach over the harbour one that visually is very attractive.

Please note that Valencia X is published by SimWare, a full daughter of Aerosoft.

Features:

  • Realistic photo real ground poly (2048 K textures)
  • Complete AFCAD
  • 3D PAPI Lights
  • 3D border taxi lights
  • 3D vegetation and grass between taxiways
  • New parking included
  • Three modelled terminals (some with internals)
  • Jet ways animated with SODE v1.3
  • Static aircraft UPS B767, Iberia A300 x5, Pronair B747, Air Nostrum CRJ 200
  • Cessna Citation hangar
  • Air Nostrum Hangars
  • AVIALSA Station
  • United Nations Base
  • Old terminal (located at south of the airport)
  • Taxiways signs
  • Custom 3d runways and ALS lights
  • Reflective windows
  • Baked terminal shadows and custom non-baked for other buildings
  • Modelled VOR, ILS
  • Full night textures and ramp illuminations
  • Detailed vehicles
  • Custom surrounding areas including detailed autogen
  • 3D persons in terminal
  • Many animations
  • Road generic traffic on surrounding areas
  • Valencia port

Requirements:

  • Microsoft Flight Simulator X (SP2, Acceleration Pack or Steam Edition) or Lockheed Martin Prepar3D (v2.5 or v3)
  • Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8 / 10 (fully updated, 64 bits highly recommended)
  • 3 GHz Dual Core Processor
  • 4 GB RAM (8 GB recommended)

As I mentioned in a post elsewhere on the Forum some weeks ago, because of posts on the Aerosoft Forum I had decided to defer any purchase of this product.

However, there is one aspect of the product on which clarification would be useful. It is about the use of SODE 1.30.

A few days ago, I was going to post a topic here dealing with SODE 1.30 and the problems which were being reported as the the consequential effect installing a product using SODE 1.30 is said to have on other products which use the 1.2x versions of SODE. I will try and do that post later today.

In part of the Aerosoft Forum debate on SODE 1.30, there is a discussion about which version is used in Valencia. One poster posted what he said is an extract from the Valencia manual as follows:

2016-01-22_13h00_29.jpg.576d3eb87c05e824

I am a bit confused as to whether the manual is saying that SODE 1.30 is in operation by default or otherwise in Valencia.

I say that especially as part of the product description in Dean's post #1 above says:

  • Jet ways animated with SODE v1.3

Can anyone clarify this aspect because it would appear to be of significant interest to those who have fully functioning products using the SODE versions 1.2x and who have not yet bought and installed a product with version 1.30 (like I did with the recently released Digital Design's LOWS Salzburg, Austria, blissfully unaware of the SODE 1.30 debate and its consequences)? People who have bought and installed Valencia (especially from PCA Aust in the four weeks it has been available there) and who have any of the other products I will mention in my other post can tell us if they have noticed any effect on those other products.

On a separate aspect of Valencia, on the Aerosoft Forum on 22 January, there was posted a hotfix for people experiencing problems with the lights - see: http://forum.aerosof...a-light-hotfix/

Do you know if the hotfix is incorporated in the version of Valencia which PCA Aust has or does it have to be separately downloaded and installed by purchasers?

Gary,

Not sure as yet. Hopefully it would be integrated but can't be sure until we hear it direct from the developer or Aerosoft etc.

Courtesy of the Aerosoft Forum, I have been told that this product has been updated to v1.10 as of last Monday.

The change is described there as:

"Simware - Valencia X was updated to V1.10

1.10       SODE 1.31 activated"

The product blurb at PCA Aust does not show a version number. Is it the updated version yet and does it contain the hotfix - see posts #3 and 4 above?

Gary,

Double checking this for PC Aviator version number. I suspect we may have had v1.01 as it was last updated early February. Will get the team to add the latest version to the server.
