A Google Plus (g+) Community has been established for Aussie Star Flight Simulation.  There are a number g+ flight sim communities and seems to be the latest online collaborative cloud space.  This will hopefully overcome the problem I have had in terms of providing a suitable and effective collaborative space for the Aussie Star website which remains the primary site for access to resources.  This community is still in its infancy and development.  I hope it will develop into a well visited site with lots of contributing members.  Any suggestions for its further development will be welcomed.

Hi Greg

is this intended to become a multiplayer venue?

Cheers,
Dennis

Hi Dennis

Google Plus communities are more like blog sites and are not set up for the kind of interaction multiplayer sessions require.  The intent is to provide an interactive form of communication for Aussie Star beyond the main website.  The blog and forum on the website didn't really take off.

With respect to multiplayer sessions, however, I am hopeful that in the not too distant future Aussie Star sponsored multiplayer sessions will re resurrected using alternative third party facilities to replace what Gamespy used to allow.  They already exist.  It's just a matter of time and planning to bring it together. The Google Plus community site would then be used to notify users of multiplayer events.  Perhaps this is something we could chat about at the PCA lunch next month.

Yes, Greg. It sure is. If we could set up shared aircraft, the knowledge that the more experienced simmers have would soon percolate throughout our group.

(also, it is fun)
:-)

Cheers,
Dennis
